When it comes to wedding photography in Italy, photographers often ask themselves crucial questions: what kind of images do Italians prefer? On the other hand, which ones are appreciated by foreigners? Firstly, it is necessary to distinguish between the type of shot and the type of post-production, since both are characterized by a typical style of a Destination Wedding in Italy. This type of shot features warm sunset light, clean frames, perfect use of light, and the so-called "stolen shot" a must-have that transcends time and trends. This is the style that I prefer and use.
Many couples, both Italian and foreign, appreciate it. They write to me, often starting with this very phrase: "How natural and spontaneous your photos are!".
Some of the reels on my social profiles (@diegotaroni_photo27) tell exactly what my personal way of obtaining certain images is, beyond my photographic skills. It is about creating empathy with the couple - as well as with their guests - so that, even though they are guided by me in a spontaneous and complicit way, they appear natural because I will have been able to capture their essence. The post-production that follows will have to reflect this naturalness through a correct use of saturation and contrast tools because the couple must see the light that was there at that moment. This helps also in preserving the authentic beauty of the locations that, often, overlook the evocative scenery of Lake Como, Lake Maggiore or Lake Garda.
I don't appreciate filters that destroy colors, for example those of floral compositions, or, worse, that alter the skin tone of a face. I will certainly not mention here the apocalypse skies proposed by my colleagues Wedding photographer here in Italy. .
Photography means stopping time. It does not mean giving it a deadline as much as it does the duration of a trend..
This is why my couples choose me. They want clean, spontaneous images that will say: "We chose the right photographer! We will never get tired of looking at these photos, masterfully taken and not just thrown together just because you can apply a filter"..
I can confidently say that all my couples, both foreign and Italian, love my photography because they have an unusual level of appreciation for images... Just like their unusual photographer.
